Many college students have creativity and passion but lack access to real industry guidance and clear pathways into game development. Despite the booming global success of indie games, many still believe that a career in gaming is “too hard,” “not for Filipinos,” or only possible abroad.
In reality, indie games are thriving. Schedule 1 was built by just three creators and reportedly earned around $120 million in six months. Closer to home, Until Then, developed by a few Filipino creators, generated an estimated $4 million within a few months, proving that Filipino-made games can compete globally.
This project addresses this gap by immersing students in a real game studio through mentorship, hands-on learning, and a mini job fair, helping them see game development as a real and achievable career.
